The steering wheel inserts are fairly easy. The bottom two just 'pop' out and so do the top two as well, but they are MUCH easier with the air bag removed. Remove the air bag with two 10mm bolts from behind, then get a small screwdriver under the insert.

If you have steering wheel controls, the buttons are part of the insert. I took mine apart carefully. The 'rockers stay in the insert, you just remove the back, a circuit board, and a rubber sleeve. I then taped the 'rockers' off when they dipped them

don't worry about asking questions. I will not get bothered. I enjoy helping. Ask away

    Steering Wheel inserts

Thanks for the detailed response Jonman. It helped a lot.
I guess they made some changes with the 13 cause when I tried to pop off the blank piece it just wouldn't budge. I happen to look behind the wheel and noticed 2 small screws for each of the inserts. I unscrewed those but the airbag actually covers all three. I removed the airbag (they also relocated the 10mm screws for that to the side, not behind) and the blank one came out. The two with the controls came out like you said and they were also screwed into the inserts with 3 micro screws. I undid the pin connects and unscrewed them and they dropped right out of the inserts so all three can be dipped without any taping.
Thanks again for all the help and pointing me in the right direction. If I can ever return the favor, just shout! Will send pics when it's done.
