Anyone know how to get the sound system to recognize that you have put a SD card in? I have put music on a 64GB card in mp3 format and it act's like there isn't a card inserted. BTW, I have an '05 RT.

    Thanks!

What brand/type of sd card are you using? I heard some cards don't read/work sometimes.

It is a Sandisk. I think that is pretty much the most popular card that is available.

True, shouldn't have an issue with it. Is it your first time plugging anything into the SD card in your car?

Looking for the real deal? I unlocked my touch screen and am now able to take any card I wish. I can also play DVD's while driving down the road, actually input addresses while driving for my GPS, and I was also able to harness the power of front and rear backup cameras (had to install the camera).

It's not cheap but you are not driving a cheap car either!

I ended up trying a 32GB card and for some reason it worked. I'm going to reformat the 64GB card and see if that works. Otherwise 32GB is a pretty good chunk of storage for music.

Good thing is that the sdcard slot works. Was it the same brand, Sandisk?

Yep, it was the same brand SD Card. I tried again after the reformat. It just won't read a 64 GB card. My biggest complaint now is that it's a pain in the butt to navigate through the tracks. I can't just pick one artist and listed to that single album.

It takes sometime getting it setup right? You sometimes have to edit the title to what the song/band is to have the screen show the right names. I'm I right?
