May want to check, but it probably skips 1st gear too and starts out in 2nd... I know eco mode works well on mine for getting good mpg....like...
Wow...must work differently, as on my SRT, it lets it stay in 4 cyl mode longer, and does not use 1st gear.

ECO mode doesn't show up the same as the ones you mention...it will be in the bottom right corner of the screen you use to choose the mode.......
