Recently got an OEM clutch from the dealer and had a trustworthy shop do the work. (Known for working on Dodge vehicles) Had the clutch installed the first time with no issues and I broke it in correctly. Once I broke it in everything felt good 8/9k+ miles. And one day I got excessive vibrations from the shifter so I assumed something was wrong. Ended up being a defective clutch... seems that one of the plates/arms on the edge broke and shot through my bell housing. I know for a fact it was installed right AND the dealer did do a warranty claim because the part had failed with no signs of abuse. That was all in January, now comes August the same exact thing happened! So at this point I’m gonna do the McLeod. I didn’t want to do a performance clutch because the car is stock and I always believed OEM is best. Has anyone had any issues with the Dodge OEM clutch? Being that the Ram & Dart’s have recalls for faulty clutches and I’m gonna assume it’s the same manufacturer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Slave cylinder and a few bearings were changed out as well! Everything is new. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Did they surface or at least check the flywheel? How many miles, just curious, for my sake. (2010 SRT M6)
Sorry to say, but I would go Aftermarket US made if possible. I understand "warranty claim", but would prefer being ON THE ROAD rather than IN the shop. Doubt I get 115k the way I drive, still holding good at 41k
Just ordered the RXT McLeod. Looks a lot better in quality. Hopefully it’s worth it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Please keep me (US) in formed how you like it. I try to buy things I KNOW I will need before they break.
Been a few months with the McLeod. Feels great. No problems. Definitely recommend. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
