2011 Challenger Door Handles Recall

    A Customer Satisfaction Notice L28 has been issued by Dodge for the exterior door handles on the 2011 Challenger. See below:


    Dealer Service Instructions for:

    Customer Satisfaction Notification L28
    Front Exterior Door Handles
    2011 (LC) Dodge Challenger
    (LD) Dodge Charger

    NOTE: This notification applies only to the above vehicles built with passive entry system (sales code GXD) through July 08, 2011 (MDH 070800).
    The front exterior door handles on about 64,500 of the above vehicles may cause intermittent operation of the passive entry feature.
    Both front exterior door handles must be replaced.
    Models IMPORTANT: Some of the involved vehicles may be in dealer used vehicle inventory. Dealers should complete this repair on these vehicles before retail delivery. Dealers should also perform this repair on vehicles in for service. Involved vehicles can be determined by using the VIP inquiry process. Subject Repair

    Yeah, I saw a lot of people on CT having this problem. I just got an 11 Durango. I hope this doesn't affect those.

    had mine replaced right away... worked fine ever since.

    At first, it was 'intermittent' at best!
    Wasn't really important at first, then it became a real PiTa! ;)
    Ordered, received, repaired within a week after first saying anything about it.


    No problems since.

    Almost exactly the same scenario here... I had them change them when I went in to get my first (free) oil change, and they straightened my exhaust pipes too!

    Work without fail since...
