I am looking at a2015 Challenger Scat Pack. The car is billet silver metallic and looks original. However, I have a device that test the paint thickness and it measured the paint as 7 mils. I checked the thickness of other new Challengers on the lot and the paint was 5 - 6 mils. Does anyone know if the billet silver metallic is a thicker application of paint or has the car been repainted? I also saw a little bit of strangeness in the paint under the hood lip and have included some pictures. Could also just be my paranoia ha ha.
It's possible that it has been repainted. But if the job is clean enough, you will never know. Now that being said if your that concerned about it, walk away until you find the rite car. Dodge has made so many. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
