K&N drop in filter $50, Magnaflow exhaust $400, Tuner and ECM off ebay $350, 91 octane = 0-60 5.2. Almost there! Not bad for a base SXT.

not bad, but what helped out there was the outside temp of 46 degrees... that's always a plus.

Maybe but I got the same time with the temps in the upper 50's. Still cold though. Not done fine tuning yet. I know it will get a little quicker once it has a few more miles on it but trying to think what else I can do without voiding the warranty. The drop in and exhaust are ok. The ECM takes ten minutes tops to pop out and replace the stock one for dealership visits.

I know the first response is to buy an R/T but this is my son's car. Bought it at the same time as my Scatpack and got it ridiculously cheap.

my understanding over all my many years is this 189lbs = less and 2/10ths in the 1/4 so if we are not talking the 1/4 but instead 0-60 it would be even less than 2/10ths no? Everyone in the know will agree that the timer in the car is not exactly accurate.
