    Always fun watching someone who is "Less than Comfortable/Knowledgeable" taking things like that apart.

    That CRC bottle is the stuff electricians use to coat the main power connections coming in to your house, like on the main disconnect and the meter hub. I didn’t know you could buy a small tube of it like the Permatex one the guy uses in the video. Learn something every day!
    One other point - sometimes using sandpaper on electrical contacts is a little too aggressive. They may have plating that is typically really thin, and the sandpaper just takes it all off. I recommend starting with a Scotch-Brite pad. See how that works, usually that’s enough to clean the contacts up nice.
