With the key on and the pigtail disconnected I have 5 volts on the signal wire at the pigtail? The car will not start. Any ideas?

    Interesting 1st post.

    Any Ideas?
I can think of at least 100 reasons your car will not start and the Cam sensor would not be the 1st place I would look.

    YEAR
    Model
    Engine
    Mileage
    Last MOD you did

If you answer these, we may point you in a different direction.

2010 STR8 6.1 54,000 I have not done any MODs There should not be any voltage on the signal side with pigtail disconnected. This is the dark blue wire with a silver stripe.

    Much better info.
    I have the same 2010 STR8 6.1 55,600 miles :)

Sorry I an not familiar with the voltage Cam sensor circuit.
I have a guy for these problems, but even he needs to connect his Snap-On Computer.
Hopefully some one here will pipe up with some help.

    Welcome!
I have the same car, too. 2010 SRT. 66K.
Does the engine turn over when you hit the button (i.e. can you hear the starter engage and crank the engine) or does it just sit there and give you dumb looks?
Have you tried to read the trouble codes?
