It depends what model Challenger you have. A non-UConnect radio could work on an SXT. However, on a higher model, like an SRT, you would lose total control of the power/transmission/suspension not to mention all of the parameters that control the user interface with the car. Also, it is possible that the car wouldn't start. My guess is that it would, but it would kick off a bunch of DIC codes. Idatalink has confirmed using its interface module Maestro Rr with the CH3 harness will allow its aftermarket head unit to be added. All of the climate controls, steering wheel controls would be retained. The performance pages wouldn’t work as there is no way to display this once the unconnected screen is removed. As for mounting a new radio in the opening, there is no kit so a new one would have to be made.
