Has anyone tried to apply furniture polish on tires? Supposedly, it gives them a nice satin look and lasts two weeks or more.

    Check out this video.

I do this, I’ve been happy with it. I started using it because the tire stuff would get flung all down the sides of my vehicles.

If you want your tires to have their original brand new look without an armor all shine, spray them with a product called "SPRAY NINE" and let it sit for 10 mins. Pressure wash it off and your sidewalls will look like its a brand new tire. Works especially well with white lettering already in the tire. Try it, you wont be disappointed.

Another great product that both cleans and provides a nice matte shine is Meguiar's Hot Shine Tire Foam.
