Do you think that Dodge, as a marketing ploy, has created too many "limited edition" Challengers? Most will never be collectible. Just consider this list:

    2008 SRT (numbered)
    2009 R/T Classic
    2010 Furious Fuchsia
    2010 MOPAR 10
    2012 SRT Yellowjacket
    2013 R/T Blacktop
    2014 MOPAR 14
    2014 100th Anniversary Edition
    2015 Hellcat
    2017 80th Anniversary
    2017 T/A
    2017 GT (AWD)
    2017 Demon

Having been a Dodge/Chrysler fanatic since buying my first new Dodge in 1967, I can state without reservation that the companies under this umbrella are pretty much marketing nitwits. They take a classic name such as Charger and place it on a sedan instead of a 2 door coupe. They take the name plate from the '78 & '79 Magnum and put it on a station wagon. They have production delays with the TC, which was intended to precede the less costly LeBaron to market, to the point it comes to market after the LeBaron and is interpreted as an expensive LeBaron vs. the LeBaron being viewed as an inexpensive TC. I could go on and on; but, my point is all these limited editions do nothing to improve the brand and simply prove they still know nothing about marketing. It's as though they are on a life raft being blown about by the wind while always struggling to find their way. If I didn't know better, I'd think FCA was on a suicide mission with the Dodge & Chrysler brands. :shooter:

I'm wondering about the Challenger on an Alfa Romeo Guilia chassis. Hmmm.. not a positive IMO.

Why? The current model is based on the Mercedes E-Class. Taxi cabs in Germany.

It's all about power-to-weight and meeting future CAFE standards. Our cars are very heavy. Other manufacturers have put their cars on a diet. For example, the new Camaro weighs only 3,500 lbs. That about 600 lbs. less than the Challenger.

When FCA goes to the new Challenger model, I think we will see turbocharged V6 and V4 engines. They will be fast, but the Hemi will be missed, since it is a true muscle car engine.

Oh I get why it will all change and agree the Hemi will be missed. MY Challenger will probably be my last hot Rod used for a daily driver. (I'll still have my 69 El Camino for cruisin'.)

I only purchased the 2017 Dodge Challenger T/A 5.7 Hemi for the looks and the style, I don't see it as a limited edition I think the classic Mopars are the collector's and special vehicles of it's time. And I will surely miss not seeing anymore Hemi engines on any Dodge vehicles in the future Dam Shame, so I will hold on to my T/A as long as I can " Mopars or No Cars" .
