By goodness Moparisto I think you may well be onto something, but's it's beyond my level of comprehension.

The dual-Hurricane-bank V12. It's the Engine They Shoulda Put in a New Viper, no less!

A dual-Hurricane-bank V12 from a pair of I-6 Hurricane engines? That would be quite an undertaking, Way above my pay grade capabilities!

The cheapest and fastest way to do it is a central dual-oil-pan-combining tunnel that contains an output shaft turned by dual gears on the two cranks instead of individual clutches, with one output clutch on said shaft.

You could even tailor the gear tooth counts to give whatever ratio of output RPM versus motor RPM you wanted. Bolt the engines together solidly top and bottom, put output shaft in and output cogs on the two I-6's, and you are largely done.

The only substantial issue is a second gear set to invert the rotation direction of the output shaft, or just reverse the rotation directions of the two Hurricanes, which would probably be easier.

I will stick with the time proven 5.0 Coyote engine (gasoline) in the Mustang. Don't need no over weight SUV or Jeep.
