    The editors at TopGear.com chose the all-new, 550-horsepower, SIXPACK-powered Dodge Charger as its Car of the Year in the TopGear.com U.S. Car Awards 2026.

    The award recognizes the new Charger’s mix of performance, muscle car attitude and everyday usability. The decision was solidified after editors pushed the car to its limits on the legendary Tail of the Dragon in the Great Smoky Mountains, which showcased the Charger Scat Pack’s performance over 318 turns in 11 miles.

    “The new SIXPACK Charger is a revelation — flexible enough to be whatever it’s called on to be, from a stout and steady daily driver to a tail-happy drift toy, and everything in between,” said Jack Rix, editor-in-chief, Top Gear.

    “This prestigious honor from Top Gear reinforces that the next-generation Dodge Charger with its 550 horsepower, gasoline-burning twin turbo SIXPACK is redefining muscle car performance.     Charger Six Packs are starting to show up at dealerships. Here is a black one with an MSRP of $58,285.

    Their is also a new REV RAM 2027 available in late 2026 at the auto show .

    It's a 3.6 Pentastar motor that powers the electric battery. It has some serious range without filling up the gas tank.
    You can also choose to plug it in also

    In my opinion I think this sort of thing could have been done a couple of decades ago, but More than likely someone has their pockets filled and the idea was scrapped.

    Uncle Tony's Garage really pans the new Charger Six Pack. While Uncle Tony likes the exterior design, he questions the longevity of the twin-turbo engine, since it is maxed out to produce 550 hp. from its six cylinders (boosted to 30 psi) and has the same electrical problems as the Charger EV. He states that the engine will not last more than 70K miles.

    Racer X compared the performance of a Charger Scat Pack (6.4) to a Charger Six Pack.

    As expected, on all-season street tires, the AWD Six Pack had a decided advantage. Here were the performance results:

    Charger Scat Pack (6.4)- 5.20 sec. 0-60 mph, 9.53 sec. 250.10 mph in 1/8 mile

    Charger Six Pack- 4.42 sec. 0-60 mph, 8.47 sec. 64.86 mph

    Put the naysayers on their ear with this:

    8.0L Hemi engines with 5.2 inch bore spacing and 7000 RPM redlines. A whole new Era of Hemi greatness is born!
