I just had the Hurst shifter installed in my '12 6speed. Wow! What a difference, it is super crisp, positive and feels the way a manual shifter should. The shifter itself is quiet, but does let a lot more engine and exhaust noise intrude into the cabin, but it is not obtrusive. I highly recommend it for anyone with a manual trans.
Yep, I am totally satisfied with it. $400 from Speedlogix and $150 for a local shop to install it. You can do it yourself with moderate mechanical ability and a floor jack and jackstands, but the instructions have like 38 steps, so I elected to have a mechanic do it.
Would 2nd that. The positive and crisp shifting is a real plus. I had the "440 mod" done to mine that makes it a little more solid and adds a little $$ to the price but it was worth it... I've been known to break shifter handles I installed mine, did it all from the passenger compartment without getting under the car. One pin on one side was a bit difficult but all in all it was easy. Install and 440 mod links.
I have the white Hurst "cue ball", I am not a fan of the pistol grip in this application. I prefer to pull and push a shifter with my fingers and palm rather than grasp a pistol grip; the pistol grip puts my wrist at an uncomfortable angle.
