    Hello.

    What can it be?

My wifes 2010 srt8 studders just a bit when first starting it for the day. I have not noticed if it does it after the first cold start of the day. Why the studder though? thx

Do you have a Tuner for it?

I noticed something similar when I 1st got my 2010 SRT.
Then I connected a Tuner, it downloaded some Modular that really smooth it out.

Depending on miles, you might pull the plugs and check them too?
Mine only had 8,500 so I figured it wasn't plugs.

    Showing your age,
    These cars don’t get a Tune-Up
    Just Plugs and air filter

To Tune these, you need a box to plug into the OBD2 port.

While it's true that the old-school "tune-up" no longer exists, the new-school one certainly does and in my mind it's more than plugs and an air filter (although these could be causing the problem). At 89,000 miles it's quite possible that the plugs are shot and depending on what kind of maintenance the car has received thus far, there's quite a few items that could be causing the issue. Not knowing the car's history, I'd suggest air filter, fuel filter and plugs, followed by a top-end (induction system) flush. Motor Vac is a good option. At the very least, clean the throttle body and MAF sensor (if the car has one). Hell, even running some injector cleaner through it would be a good idea.

I would suggest all the above plus changing the PCV Valve as well. If the issue persists, pull the crank sensor and clean or replace it, and remove and test the MAP sensor.
