I love the hood on that. Really fits nice.
Think they are going to keep the Auto-Meter gauges?

Possibly, if they ever build a production version. The Charger with the 426 was a customized 1968 Charger. That's why it has the fender flares.

I don’t remember Chrysler offering the HEMI in ‘68 Charger

    The ‘66 and ‘69-‘71
    But I may be wrong

Yep, I stand corrected, I saw it on YouTube, so it must be true :)

Here's a good article and a video concerning the mods that were made to the 1968 "Super Charger" to showcase the new 426 engine. Among the mods were:

    • Two-inch stretch in the wheelbase, moving the front wheels forward to reduce the overhang
    • Front and rear tracks widened by 5 inches
    • 2.5-inch lower ride height in front, 3.5 inches lower in the rear
    • Headlamps from the 2019 Dodge Challenger shine behind blacked-out fixed vertical slats grille
    • Door handles and window drip rails “shaved” to create smooth body appearance
    • Custom “De Grigio” gray metallic paint
    • Wing vent windows in front doors replaced by single-piece door glass
    • Rear seat deleted, front bench seat replaced by bucket seats from Dodge Viper

It is speculated that the crate engine is expected to sell in the $25,000 to $30,000 range.

Here's a different take on the release of the 426 and Dodge's marketing strategy.

    O.K.
I have got up on my soapbox over issues in the past,
but I can't get behind him on his rant on the engine.

I do agree MOPAR should not offer the Hellcat Hood & wheels on ALL MODELS
But People need to get over the "I Think they meant" mentality.

O.K. off My Soapbox, for now.
