Dodge Law brought an early version of its next-generation Dodge Charger police sedan to the Police Fleet Expo (PFE) 2026 at Daytona International Speedway, giving law enforcement agencies an early look at what appears to be the replacement for the previous-generation Charger Pursuit. This time, however, Dodge is calling it the Charger PPV, short for Police Pursuit Vehicle.

The Charger PPV is based on the Charger SIXPACK R/T and uses the standard-output (S/O) version of Stellantis’ twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter HURRICANE I6. In the civilian R/T, the engine produces 420 horsepower and 468 lb-ft of torque and is paired with the 880RE 8-speed automatic transmission.

Dodge is targeting summer 2027 for the opening of Charger PPV orders. There are still plenty of details Dodge hasn’t announced, including final police-specific suspension tuning, brakes, cooling upgrades, electrical systems, available equipment packages, pricing, and performance certification.
