I was really wanting to make my challenger unique. I thought the roadrunner was a nice tip to the 70’s.
Always loved the Roadrunner, definitely different, putting it on a Challenger. Not really UP-Badging, but not the same body style, i.e., Cuda/Challenger most people go for. Nice looking car.
Yes, I agree that it is a high maintenance color. Didn’t realize that when I bought it. A little dirt really shows, but it does look really nice when it is clean. My veteran buddies said that I now own a cop magnet. Ha ha!!!
You wouldn't notice because it is such a dark vibrant color. Only when it gets dirty or when swirls appear will you notice it. (Like the color black-maybe not as high maintenance like black) I'm sure it gets alot of attention from everyone. I love the color red too where I have had a few red cars some time ago. I always worry about that color fading and the swirls/paint blemishes showing being more noticeable in that color. White I never had to worry about fading, and when the sun shined on the color white it stayed cooler reflecting the heat/sun rays. Where a black on black car was always hot.
