    Hi All,
I finally got over 1200 miles and we were getting on the hiway the other day and I noticed that the horsepower went up to 495. I don't know where the tach was, but it could have been into the red. So the question is how accurate are the performance pages and when should the rev limiter kick in?
    Thanks,
    Chuck

The actual electronic limit on the 392 is 6,400 rpm in gear, 4,000 rpm in neutral (automatic only).

What was the air temperature? On cold days, an engine will make more horsepower.

The rule of thumb with the average V-8 is 1 hp for every 10F degree drop in intake air temp. That works out to about 1% for 30F degrees.

The temperature was about 75 to 80. Not sure about the intake air temperature, but I thought that it is usually about 10 to 20 degrees hotter. I'm not sure about the formula you gave. Is that 10F ambient temperature minus intake air temperature?

No, it is just the intake temperature reading.
