So I have figured out that I have a huge blind spot when backing up. One of my customers(LKQ) said they could get me a factory radio that has B/U camera, uconnect and so on. My question is, is it just plug and play? I called Larry H Miller in Aurora, but the service person was like, "you want to do what?" Or do I need to go aftermarket. Either way, I know I will need to by the camera.
Try one before you put great effort into installing one. My biggest complaint is the rear quarter area behind the window. I have zero right side visibility of the street backing out of my drive way. I don't even look at the screen at this point because it doesn't show left/right that far anyway. I just grit my teeth and go. I think the factory installed camera/spoiler is in the $400 range plus whatever the screen set-up will cost.
yep, anything like that will have to be activated by the dealer. so i hope you have a friendly dealer as it will cost you probably.
