Thanks for allowing me to enter this forum. My first post. I've got a 2009 srt8 challenger. He's got 74,xxx miles, and runs well. This is my 1st high performance vehicle, so I'm a bit nervous and cautious on what I do. I've compiled a Somewhat realistic wishlist for the performance upgrades I'd like to do. I'm looking for some constructive input from guys more experienced with these motors. Not listed are a cam(not sure of brand or size) and full exhaust (high flow cats mufflers, ect), and an oil catch can (not sure of brand)

The car currently only has a K&n cold air intake and straight pipes (was purchased like this)

Any help would be appreciated. I'd like to keep my budget under $5,000. Screenshot_20190627-102747_Chrome.jpg Screenshot_20190627-102715_Chrome.jpg Screenshot_20190627-102634_Chrome.jpg Screenshot_20190627-102605_Chrome.jpg Screenshot_20190627-102517_Chrome.jpg

    Welcome,

Ha, Yep, you have a Christmas List.

In MY opinion, I would do the Oil Catch Can, Exhaust and Tuner 1st.
    Being it is an SRT,
I wouldn't worry about the Shorty's or the Intake right now.
Once you play with the tuner, then do the Throttle Body.
Mine came with a MOPAR Strut Brace so I don't know what it would feel like without one.

You didn't say AUTO or Stick.
If Manual, you NEED a SkipShift-Eliminator cable

Ah yes, it is a 6 speed manual, and I do need the skip shift eliminator. It's only done it once in the month I've owned the car, but it was enough to be annoying. Lol.

As far as exhaust, any recommendations? I like a throaty deep growl, ground shaking. I'm pretty attiment on installing a cam, more for the lope than the hp.

I like my Blastin Bobs Resonator Delete kit

You know STOCK is 2 3/4" with 2 1/2" mufflers, but you said they put Straight Pipes.
Was that to delete BOTH the Muffler & the Resonator?
My 2010 has the SMALL stock mufflers.

This could be. I just took a quick glance when I was purchasing the car, because it was loud, there could be a smaller style muffler. Although it does have the tell tale back fire when letting off the throttle. (Which is what I'm trying to get rid of)

If there is NOTHING, I would just put a GlassPack in the middle and the res delete with short glasspack on the rear.
Will cut most of the drone people complain about with just straight pipe on the rear

If I hadn't already installed JBA shortie headers, I would have done the SRT stock headers, they are just as good. light weight.

plus the stock coils are just fine, no need to spend that kind of money on stuff that wont help.
