The original equipment rotors, on all 4 wheels, with SRTs are slotted rotors (14.2-inch on the front and 13.8-inch on the rear). (Note- They came with Brembo brake pads). Smooth or blank rotors are poor substitute replacements for a high-performance car.

Slotted rotors offer two distinct benefits under heavy braking- reduction of brake fade from high-temperature brake pad outgassing, and improved braking consistency and reduced glazing (the grooves shave off thin layers of brake pad material).

Does it really make a difference? Doesn't depend on how you drive? For example if you don't track the car and just use it to commute on freeways and go to the grocery store and drive it like grandma will regular rotors be just as good since you aren't taking the brakes to the max? Also won't regular rotors last longer or it's all dependent on your driving habits?

True, but I prefer to have the best possible braking system on my SRT.

Get a grip on your self, you will never be driving in Monoco in a F1 racing class. It just like all the stupid ads on TV where they show you driving in no traffic or for the pickup people pulling 12000lbs how many people do that? Advertising is for the stumps..

Then, why did Dodge put an expensive braking system (Brembo pads and slotted rotors) on the SRT models?

Marketing. FCA would look pretty dumb producing a extremely powerful vehicle without high end brakes. Your missing the point, what's wrong with the standard stock brakes. 99% of the people's who buy a hellcat or any of the performance line with brembro brakes will never push the braking system to its limits.

I agree, buy they definitely add to the cool factor, just like Brembo calipers, front and rear spoilers, brake air ducts, air scoops, etc.
