    So is there any real performance benefit to having a shaker?

    No. It's purely cosmetic and is not functional.

    However, the Scat Packs with 392, are a bit faster than SRT 392, though not sure why, aside from some weight savings.

    When I get mine, I'll go for an RT hood.

    Has anyone in the aftermarket world started selling Challenger hoods with late 60s-style Hemi scoops?
