There is nothing that feels better than cruising in the most beautiful muscle car in the world and hearing the rumble of that HEMI (after you put a good exhaust on it). I'm sorry but there is no V6 in the world that will give you that sound.

That's the next thing I want to get for mine...a good exhaust.

apparently the HEMI V8 doesn't either since so many owners swap exhausts for better sound.
And I have had numerous people say they thought I had a V8 based on my exhaust sound
All that to say that exhaust sound is a poor decision point to base a purchase on

I test drove the stock 6 cyl and 8 cyl before buying my R/T, and there was a huge difference in sound. When you fire up a stock HEMI its a sound of beauty and there is no mistaking it for a 6 cyl, sorry.

It all depends on how much money you want to spend and if miles per gallon is a concern.

    In my opinion Challenger= Hemi.

Welcome to the Forum, I was in the same position you're in. My previous vehicle was a Chevy 2500 HD 4X4 and it was my daily driver. At best i was getting 12 MPG so i was ready for an upgrade. I test drove the Challenger SXT and the R/T Scat Pack. Night and Day....
I ended up getting the 2015 Scat Pack with the 6.4L V8. Hopefully this helped a little :)
