Question for anyone who can answer.

A few weeks ago I was having a battery drainage problem, so I ended up replacing my car battery thinking that it was the problem. After replacing the battery the next day I realized that the lights on the steering wheel column are not turning off AT ALL. once the car is turned off and the alarm is set, the steering column lights still do not turn off. I have waited over an hour hoping they would turn off, but nothing.

I checked the fuse # 34 in the trunk and that is fine.

I have no idea why the lights are not turning off automatically once the car is turned off. This has been draining my car battery

Anyone with that has any ideas why this is happening would be appreciated.

I'm trying to avoid going to a dealership just for a diagnoses because they charge $ 250.00 an hour.

So are you saying its the SRT badge on the steering wheel that’s staying on? Or the lights under the dash?

The SRT option display right behind the steering wheel, where you can scroll through the different options and settings. That is what is not turning off and staying on for some unknown reason.

The lights under the dash and on the 8.4 screen turn off a few seconds after exiting the car and arming the alarm. Like it is suppose to be doing.

You are talking about the screen between the gauges correct? Can you do a picture of the screen to see what its showing?

This video deals with interior dome lights that stay on, but you might want to see if this simple fix might work.

Thanks SRT-Tom I watched the video but this did not work in my case. These are the lights that I am talking about. They just will not turn off :( Steering Wheel Console.jpg

Is it the whole gauge cluster (speedo, tach AND center info display) of just the center information display?

I noticed my centre display, between the gauges, stuck on once so I unlocked the doors opened and closed both and then locked the doors with the fob. After that they turned off after its normal delay.
