Yes. My Hellcat had its traction control kick in far too much on a snowy day where we had a massive and immediate snow dump.\With the right snow tires and keeping your foot lightly on the pedal you could manage the snow.
Though a couple of runs over here at New England Dragway would be the better choice.
I tried to spin my tires down through the snowpack to get some asphalt to grip on, but the electronic nanny keept applying the rear brake to prevent homophobia or racism or whatever, so I had to shut off ESR and traction control.
Voila! instead of being stuck in the middle of traffic unable to even inch forward due to massive layer of hardened, icy, wet glacier, I burned down through the layer and hit asphalt and was able to move forward slowly. That was one of the weirdest driving experiences ever. All season tires, unable to find any grip because there was literally NONE to be had. UNTILl you spun down to the pavement.
Next day, snow all melted. Normal driving.
But a good learning experience Good ol' fashioned wheelspin was needed to get through the freshely dumped, rolled on, hard and icy wet crust to get to the asphalt. This was only going at 0.2mph, as was the traffic around me.
AWD woulda been nice. Especiallly added to a Hecllcat.
