In an effort to kick-start the sale of Chargers, Dodge will be building only 270 "Exclusive Mopar 27s" to celebrate 90 years of Mopar. Dealers can start taking orders in early January 2027.The run is split evenly, with 90 cars in each exterior color-Bludicrous, Diamond Black and White Knuckle. Of the 270 total, 243 are headed for the United States and 27 for Canada.
The $10,995 package is available on two models- the Charger R/T and the Charger Scat Pack Plus. So what do you get for this hefty add-on? A carbon-fiber front splitter, a rear spoiler, a functional carbon-fiber hood/scoop and unique graphics (Note-the black and white cars wear blue stripes and the blue cars wears black stripes). Inside the engine bay there is also a limited-series plaque, and the dashboard gets its own badge so everybody knows this one is special.
Both cars use Dodge’s twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six, called Sixpack. The R/T makes 420 horsepower, runs 0 to 60 mph in 4.6 seconds and the quarter mile in 12.9 seconds. The Scat Pack Plus gets larger turbochargers and standard all-wheel drive. It makes 550 horsepower, reaches 60 mph in 3.9 seconds and runs the quarter mile in 12.2 seconds.
The base Charger R/T costs $49,995 before options. Add the $10,995 bundle and it reaches $60,990. The Scat Pack Plus starts at $59,990. With the bundle it is $70,985. These prices may scare off a lot of buyers- but not collectors.
This is the 15th annual Mopar package tied to SEMA since 2011. A 2020 edition was canceled because of Covid-19, so the count should have reached 16. The Charger-based series began in 2011. The nameplate returned in 2015 and again in 2023. Past packages have gone to the 300, the Dart, the Challenger, the Durango, the Jeep Gladiator and the Ram.
